I finally hit my breaking point when I saw a picture of myself. I had just gone through 4 years of changes in my life and it caught up with me. I used to love cooking, riding my bike, walking and riding my horses and then everything changed. I had to learn how to cook for one and with my schedule I turned to convenience foods. Next thing I knew I had gained weight, my clothes didn’t fit anymore and riding my horses became difficult.
I tried many different diets with no success. I kept going back to the same destructive behavior of convenience food because it was easier. I just couldn’t get back to my old self of eating healthy and exercising.
My friend started coming to Medical Weight Loss of New York and I remember her talking about the program. She was having a difficult time taking weight off and it was finally happening for her. This piqued my interest and she gave me the information about the program. I finally made the call that would end up changing everything.
I started the program in June 2014 and have lost 82 pounds so far. I remember laughing at Dr. Scinta when she asked what my goal weight was and she dropped it even lower. I never thought I would get to her goal number and keep going.
I finally have the “old” me back and I feel so much better. The office staff have been amazing from the start and made it that much easier to reach my goal.
